We are specialists in the New Migration Law: Law No. 13,445/2017, which establishes four types of naturalization: 📌 Ordinary naturalization Ordinary Brazilian naturalization is granted to foreigners who wish to naturalize and who meet the following requirements: * Permanent residence (with indefinite validity) with a minimum of 04 years from the date of publication in the Official Gazette. However, if this migrant is married/stable with a Brazilian or has a Brazilian child, this period is reduced to 01 year. If you have lost your publication in the DOU, search in the Federal Official Gazette. * Ability to communicate in Portuguese. Dispensable if the migrant is from a Portuguese-speaking country; * No criminal conviction or rehabilitation 📌 Extraordinary naturalization Extraordinary naturalization will be granted to a person of any nationality who has taken up residence in the national territory for more than 15 uninterrupted years and without criminal conviction, or who has already been rehabilitated in accordance with current legislation. 📌 Special naturalization Special Brazilian naturalization is the one granted to the spouse or partner, for more than 5 years, of a member of the Brazilian Foreign Service in activity or a person in the service of the Brazilian State abroad; that is, or has been employed in a diplomatic mission or in a consular post in Brazil for more than 10 consecutive years. The requirements for granting special naturalization are: § have civil capacity, according to Brazilian law; § Communicate in Portuguese, considering the conditions for naturalizing; It is § does not have a criminal conviction or is rehabilitated, under the terms of the law. 📌 Provisional naturalization For foreigners admitted to Brazil during the first 10 years of life, definitively established in the national territory. Provisional naturalization may be granted to migrant children or adolescents who have taken up residence in the national territory before completing ten years of age and must be requested through their legal representative.
